[Opinion] Honey Extension isn’t going to be the last tool that will outright lie to you

Honey is a browser extension app that has been under fire for not following through with it promise and stealing commissions from other creators by falsely implying that it saves you money. After some independent investigation by a YouTuber called megalag found what it really doing in the background. It’s not providing free promo codes but stealing credit for sales for sales it doesn’t earn itself.

Disclaimwr: this is a ongoing process and not all details are clear yet there however has been a class action lawsuit made against Honey parent company PayPal. I am not a lawyer. This is my opinion on this matter

personally I am always skeptical on heavily marketed applications or tools specially if it claims to be free how are they making money if they’re promoting it so much it’s something Markiplier pointed over his distrust of the extension. Logically it seems odd these free things need to spend thousands of dollars in marketing alone… Props on him for speaking about it. Don’t forget the old saying, “if it’s too good to be true it probably is” it’s a major reason I avoid things like raid shadow legends and yokai star rail etc. too much hype for me repulses me. Granted not all highly marketed things are bad only if it makes little sense. Because how is it possible.
