Now, Its been some time since I played Runescape and I currently have little knowledge of its current workings but a year ago a game I used to play in my childhood getting myself to combat level 100 and above was very fun and getting most of my quests unlocked or finished. It was the old way of gaming and runescape been the king of browser based gaming for years. I remember when in middle school in computer class on a fun day on the last day of school almost everyone in the room got on runescape and worked together to defeat everyone in the PvP zone.

Like I said even haven’t played it in so long ago me and my cousin played it again… it didn’t take long for us to get over the glow of our love for the game and instantly went into boredom. I can recall before the dungeoneering update me, my uncle and another cousin got on and play it a lot til get got into Wyrm online and minecraft that we stopped playing this game… even to this day I mentioned to my family and they where like, “No, that game is very dated and boring” and I agree.. Games are getting less and less time with pointless tasks… normally now its click and your middle in a battle field fighting others or placing blocks with the greatest of ease.

But Before I get to far in the negative of now… but the good of then: Runescape was very fun with the massive player login at the time where such things was very uncommon… Many people started to spread the world of runescape to all schools around the world… soon it got so popular that any gamer kid has played runescape once in their life once in the early 00’s… It was witty, silly and had many references of movies and such. Which made me want to make another character to read them again. The Story of runescape was interesting… yet if you PAID then you got more in depth with the story and getting more background whats going on… even meeting the “gods” themselves. Puzzles that you had to come across (By the way “Earnest the Chicken” was the WORST when I was young… getting that oil can was annoying) and the feeling of figuring out the goal made each quest that much more satisfying. It was that when I would hold up the phone line ALL THE TIME with dail up to play runescape. Though I was stuck in the free world til I got my own bank account and making money on the side I thought why not get PAID account…

So for 30 days I took in summoning, which was pretty neat… Agility which to this day came in handy and thieving because I wanted to feel like robin frikken hood. I didn’t get far in that content and stopped playing it… it was about that time I got into Secondlife and year later got into Eve-online… I stopped playing it together except for 3 times I mentioned before. I think because runescape hasn’t really able to adapt to the changes in gaming and with new and new free to play games with new worlds to explore less people find runescape fun anymore except for the group of loyal fans that stick around and old timers that come back to keep getting their skills to level 99. Which runescape was a grind… if not the king of the grind… which I gotten tired since seeing it and games everywhere… some less of a grind but runescape was the worst. Its something I know how long its going to take me even if I spend every waking hour to grinding it up and getting up there.

I am sorry but no… no more…
